There is a saying, “There’s an old story about the person who wished his computer were as easy to use as his telephone. That wish has come true since I no longer know how to use my telephone.”
The first computer was 27 tons and took up 1800 square feet and now it’s just 800g and takes 2 sq. feet or less. The first hard disk could store up to just 5 MB and now hard disks can store up to 5TB. As everything is turning easy the traditional method of research, writing content, and solving the problems have also become effortless in the hands of AI (Artificial intelligence).
Nowadays, AI plays a role in everything, like summarizing books, generating anime AI art and programming codes, writing content and scripts, solving complex problems, and, not gonna lie, I took help from AI beginning to end to get this piece ready for you!
In early 2023, two massive companies came into the AI race as you know it’s Bard vs Bing (Google vs Microsoft).
Well it’s always the giants fighting to find out who is giant-err.
These two AI chatbots changed the total experience for people. Here, I am going to explore the Bard and Bing to find out which one is better for you.
How did it become Bard vs Bing?
One of the recurring headlines in early 2023 is that Microsoft beats Google in AI. Everything started after the launch of the Bing chat. Even though Google teased its AI way long before, it hadn’t released its chatbot to the public. But Google took some time to respond to Microsoft’s announcement and its Bard AI aka Gemini now competes directly with Bing chat, which is popularly known as Bard vs Bing.
What is Bing Chat?
In February 2023, Microsoft introduced a feature to its search engine – Bing Chat. Bing Chat is an AI chatbot that can generate text, translate language, and answer all our questions in an enlightening way.
What is Bard?
In response to Microsoft’s announcement, Google came with its chatbot Bard. Google Bard provides us with a chat-based AI experience. Like other AIs, Bard also codes, solves problems and performs tasks besides this Bard gives information directly from the website.

Testing the capabilities- Bard Vs Bing
To get the right answer and detailed insights into both Bing and Bard we performed a set of tasks and ran a few queries and here are the results.
Simple questions
I asked Bard and Bing who is the Iron Man of India. Nearly both of them had the same answer. Bing answered in the extended essay format, and Bard answered in the point format, making it easy to read.
Google only gave me the essay format answer once I changed my request. But Bing answered in the first attempt itself.
Umm I see bing in the lead.
Now, I asked them who is the Richest man in India. The duo gave a different answer. Bard went through the real-time answer. But, Bing didn’t. So, I changed the request, and then Bing didn’t answer. Bing stays with facts only but Bard goes through all the real-time statistics and gives answers.
And with this Bard made it 1:1.
Complex question
I asked both Bard and Bing to make a proper diet plan for bulking. Both of them gave comprehensive answers but Bing’s answer is more convincing. I asked both Bard and Bing to change their diet plan according to someone in the Indian subcontinent. Bard didn’t respond to the request while Bing answered.
I asked them to give some suggestions for brightening a video. Almost both Bard and Bing answered the same. But in the previous question, Bard was not doing better. So, here Bing took the lead on Brad.
Performing task
I requested Bard and Bing to reply to an email in a flirty manner. Both of them gave me an answer, but Bard’s was amazing. Bing is teaching me how to flirt and also gave the reply which wasn’t very flirty itself. Bing is not much of a person. Its response is not natural, it looks more artificial and not playful.
Now asked the duo to write HTML with a button in the middle that says go and every time you click it, it shows a man riding a bike. Both of them gave the code. We had to copy the URL of the image that we chose and paste it into the code. Both of the codes are working but the code given by Bing does not show the “go” button just shows the image. Bard shows the “go” button and when you click on it only it shows the image. In this category, Brad takes the lead.
Information summary
I asked both Bard and Bing to give me a summary of the 2023 ODI Cricket World Cup. Both of them gave the same answer and every fact was correct. Both of them were accurate.
This time I asked them to summarize the book “Rich Dad Poor Dad”. To my surprise, both of them gave accurate answers, although Bing was a bit slower. Both individuals had the same level of ability to summarize information. Additionally, if you are looking for a quick way to summarize web page content, documents, PDFs, or long articles, you can use the ChatGPT-based Chrome Extension called Merlin AI.
Getting creative
For the creative category I asked Bard and Bing to write a simile about Google using the letter “m”. Both gave good answers. I liked Bing’s answer, but both were equally good. I asked both of them to confirm whether they were good or not.
I asked them to write a script for a podcast with MS Dhoni. Bard did not answer on the first try. So, I changed the question to write a script for a podcast with Mahendra Singh Dhoni then only it answered. Bing answered on the first try itself. In this category, Bard didn’t perform well. Bing, beats Bard.
Which is better: Bard or Bing?
Category | Bing Chat | Google Bard |
---|---|---|
